Little Mashel Falls - Bud Blancher Trail — Saturday, May. 13, 2023

We arrived at the Bud Blancher Trailhead at around 9:00am and the lot was maybe 1/3 full. By the time we returned at 11:30ish, the lot was full.

The trail is in great condition. There are some muddy spots but they are easily navigable without stepping off the trail (ahem). Not many wildflowers are blooming, but I did find a few pink and white trilliums and those li’l tiny five-petal guys.

The falls are beautiful. We stopped near Upper, had a snack at Middle, and took our obligatory selfie at Lower. The falls are at a good flow but not so strong that it’s terrifying.

Gentle reminder: don’t drink the water. We saw a dude drinking from the river.

Overall, our hike was 5ish miles, but that’s because we visited the different parts. I highly recommend showing up early to avoid crowds and rude ones.
