It was WTA Trip Reporters day at Horse Lake Reserve, I had the pleasure of talking with Bob and Barb (photo 2), Birb, and Old Rod. These reporters are all delightful people! Bob and Barb's trip reports helped me plan my 2 weeks of hiking in Wenatchee. I'm so appreciative of all trip reports, it's a tremendous resource.
There are incredibly vibrant and dense displays in the upper areas of Horse Lake Reserve and on north facing slopes; the lightening trail (pictures 1 and 4), upper Coyote Canyon (picture 3), upper Homestead trail, and the top of the Sage Hill trail (where it meets the Homestead) are all especially good.

Nice photos of the flowers and trip reporters ❤️. I have to know, is there a secret handshake or something that helps you identify the trip reporters?

Trip reporters are in the know and there are going to be some of them at one of the premier wildflower hikes in the state, on a weekday, when there are great blooms and perfect sunny weather. A big camera is often a tell. One of these days I am going to get a button made using the design on one of the stickers that WTA sends to trip reporters. :-)
