Little Mashel Falls - Bud Blancher Trail — Sunday, Apr. 23, 2023

Mud mud mud! Started at 8am rainy Sunday and the 3rd car in the lot. Felt like I was taking a bath in the mud. Trail is wide gravel path until left turnoff down to lower mashel falls. Peak flow. Approaching from bud blancher you’ll hit lower then middle then upper.

Lower falls - steepish descent, definitely happy to have my poles. Careful on the wooden steps they are slicker than slick.
Middle falls - easier than Lowe to get to, a gentler slope. Upper falls - narrower trail, washouts, not as muddy but definitely steeper.

Poles definitely helpful to navigate getting to the base of the falls which I wholly recommend.

Parking for bud blancher is off of Weyerhaeuser road and if not for the faded trail sign we’d have missed it. Saw only one photographer on trail from 8-9am. On our way back saw more groups. By the time we returned around 10am approx 12 cars at the trailhead.

Porta potty there but pack in and pack out.
