Bluebird day in the Olympics. Arrived around 11am with plenty of spots in the parking lot. The trail is snow covered the entire way but didn't need snowshoes as it was hard packed (some may like to use microspikes but it wasn't necessary with boots on).
We decided to adventure further along the west ridge of the hill (towards the Elhwa River) and did put on snowshoes as the snow wasn't packed down. Somewhat technical but if you comfortable off trail in snowshoes it would be fine.
To note Hurricane Ridge is closing up until Memorial Day (as early as the weekend)- so get up there now before it's off limits.
