Clockwise loop starting from the parking lot near the fish hatchery, across the stone bridge, west to Woburn St, back east to the railroad trestle, and back to the fish hatchery via Derby Pond.
Road Conditions. Paved parking lot, restrooms, playground etc.
Trail conditions. Mostly wide, well-maintained trails. Some slightly muddy sections on side trails. This map was posted at major intersections.
Highlights. Several waterfalls, the remains of the railroad trestle, and ducks in the pond (incl the leucistic mallard mentioned in previous trip reports).
Crowds. Plenty of people around at 11am, but no problem finding parking.

Nice report and photos! I am curious as to where you saw Jack's fishing shack! By the order of your pictures, it would seem to be near the fish hatchery. We didn't see it when we were there in late January. We usually do a similar loop. Looks like a cute Christmas decoration!

There was an entire village of tiny houses set up along a fence at one of the private residences right next to the hatchery.
btw if you click the ℹ️ icon in Google Photos, you can see the exact location for most of my photos!

Thank you for the info! We did a reverse of our usual clockwise loop route so went counter-clockwise to Derby pond first for lunch on one of the benches. We got a late start because of watching a short-eared owl at the East 90 on our way to the TH. We walked the trail behind the houses so missed the village!
