The weather was clear and cool, 45 degrees, when our party of three left the TH at 11:15. The company was sparse as we met only three other small but agreeable parties along the way.
The trail was mostly damp but occasionally muddy in a couple of areas where it would be normally muddy, not from the rain or snow. Occasional snow along the trail but mostly on the shady sides of the hill above.
Plenty of fall color in the clear and sunny skies, tending toward the yellows and browns of the late season.
