Cooper River — Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022

As advised above, do not rely on Waze or Google Maps to find this trailhead. The driving directions given here are just fine, but I left my copy behind and wandered a bit before finding my way.  It was a nice drive on a sunny day! (Also, there are just two small signs at the trailhead to let you know you're in the right place.)  It's a nice trail, and the river was very clear - we spotted salmon in the pools near the trailhead!   It was Sunday so there were other hikers out today, but not crowded at all.  Most of the hike is in the forest above the river, and the trail is in good shape - easy terrain.
