Beautiful day for a fall hike! This is a popular trail so the lot does fill up later in the day, and be prepared to share the sights with cheerful fellow hikers and their pups. Just over two miles in is a nice rocky spot to pause for a snack break and look out over the lake. There are a lot of ups and downs and switchbacks on this hike but the trail is in great shape and easy to follow. Just remember that uphill hikers have the right of way. Once you make the final descent to reach the lake, there is plenty of exploring on the trails to the right and left as well as shore access.
