Took myself and my fly pole to the lakes this morning. What a great place if you need alone time - well, if you don't mind sharing lakeside meadows with wildflowers, frogs and elk.
The trail is tricky and difficult to follow but it's sort of there and I dropped into the lower lake first, shallow and smaller. The upper lake is deeper and and I saw no established campsite around either lake.
