We walked from the north trailhead to the south and back as a leg-stretcher after a long, and long delayed, ferry ride. The trail was hard packed dirt, with some roots. There are several benches along the path.
The north trail parking lot had room for four cars; we were the only users on this August Sunday afternoon. The south lot also had room for four cars, and there was one parked. We saw two other walkers.
I had hoped to continue down to the beach, but Crescent Beach Drive had too much traffic to take our dogs along it.
This was a pleasant little walk.
