Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - WA
Mt. Adams

Beautiful find. Trail in good condition, except a few spots where the foliage has overgrown, but doable. Great views of Mt Adams and Mt Hood. Lots of wildflowers and lots and lots of butterflies. Went as far as Cold springs then turned back for a total of 7.5 mile day. Option to continue to Huckleberry Mt. to make it a 10 Mile day but since it was hot we decided to turn back. Elevation was enough to remind me to continue with cardio training. Trailhead easy to get to with gravel road in very good condition. Only a few areas with potholes.

Mt Hood
There was lots of forest area too to provide much needed shade on a hot day
Butterflies and wildflowers did not disappoint.
