Garfield Ledges, Middle Fork Connector Trail — Monday, Jul. 4, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
View from the ledge

We arrived at the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Trailhead parking lot at 7:15 am on July 4th and there were only 3 other cars in the parking lot. Road to get to this parking lot was all paved and in great shape! We took the connector trail to get to the Garfield Ledges trailhead and took a right at the bridge. The road bridge still has decent potholes but we saw some sudans make it and I think we could have made it in a midsize suv without too many issues. However the connector trail was really nice and parallels the river and adds a little bit of extra mileage. The trail for Garfield Ledges is located to the left behind the bathrooms. These bathrooms were surprisingly pretty clean and stocked. Trail up to the ledges was in great shape and we were the only ones on it. Bugs were only really bad when you stopped walking, otherwise we didn’t notice them when we were walking. When we got back to the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead parking lot we decided to head over to the Gateway Suspension Bridge, which was on the opposite side of the parking lot from the connector trail. The bridge was really cool and definitely worth the quick trip over to it. We finished up our hiking at 9:30 am and clocked a total of 3.8 miles. The parking lot at this time had about 15 cars and there was still plenty of room for more.
