Arrived to a mostly empty parking lot and two portapotties (I assume they were open but didn’t check) at got on the trail at 8:50. Its a casual modest 3 miles along Ranger River to the switchback trail leading up up up to Ranger Falls and then about 1 mile more to Green Lake, a pretty calm small lake with a trail at least halfway around and got there at 11am exactly. There was one couple there and we explored around the lake some and when we returned to the mouth of the lake they left so we could sit next to the logs. We had lunch at the lake for 30 minutes and as we got ready to go, two groups came up, and then another 4-5 groups over the next few minutes as we descended to Ranger River Waterfall which is beautiful. As we descended the switchback we saw red headed a woodpecker and lots of mushrooms and a mule deer. When we reached the main road there were about a dozen bikes chained up. We got back to the car at the trailhead at 2pm after a casual stroll.
