Having hiked this trail before in early spring, I'd say that's a preferred season for experiencing this short, family-friendly nature trail. In spring, the area may be partly flooded by snow melt, but the colors of the forest -- especially the blues and greens -- are incredible. It looks like a swampy wonderland then. When I hiked it again in early fall, it was drier and more brown than green. Which isn't to say it isn't still a worthwhile nature walk if you're in the area! But I wouldn't go out of your way to hike it except in spring, especially not if you've already done other hikes in the Hoh Rainforest farther north.
