Clear Lake Interpretive Trail — Friday, Aug. 23, 2019

South Cascades > White Pass/Cowlitz River Valley

After hiking Bear Creek Mountain we passed Clear Lake and decided to stop at the day use area for lunch.  It's a very nice day use area on the lake with picnic tables, charcoal BBQs, a shelter, and a nice little trail.   After lunch we walked the Clear Lake interpretive trail (also apparently called Sun & Sage which is part of the Washington State Birding trail.  It's a nice lollipop loop walk with some informational signs and birding blinds.

The trail is maybe half a mile, maybe a bit less.  It is flat, in great condition and would be easy for all ages and abilities.  We did not encounter any bugs, the road is perfect for any vehicle.  Discover pass required.
