White Chuck Mountain — Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway

White chuck is a fun scramble! It does take about an hour on the unpaved roads once you get past Darrington. Totally worth the drive as the views are amazing even at the trailhead. The climbers trail is relatively easy to follow once you can find it above the gully. Go more up the middle rampy slabs, then to the right (some descriptions may say) mostly easy class 3 with one move towards the top that has a bit more exposure (to reach the true summit) the bugs are horrible by the trailhead but do get better as you leave the vegetation.
