We did a 5 day trip over in the Pasayten starting from the Buckskin Ridge trailhead connecting onto the PCT at Woody Pass, heading SOBO and back to Harts Pass, approximately 45 miles. The road to Harts Pass wasn't as bad as it sounds. There are the usual washboard bumps and potholes along with a short one lane section that is a steep drop off, but it was not bad.
The wildflowers are in full bloom right now, some ripe berries but a bit early still. Parts of the trail are bit overgrown, lumpy, steep and holey, but we made it just fine. Tons of mosquitoes and biting flies.
The PCT SOBO from Woody Pass is in great condition, as most of the PCT is a lovely sidewalk.
