The shadow lake trail to rim trail then Burroughs is snow free. The main trail back down towards frozen lake had a few easy snow crossings with poles. Maybe 80ft of total snow travel. I’m a total wuss when it comes to exposed snow travel and I was fine with just poles. Didn’t even put on my spikes. saw a bear and cub in way up and goats on way down.

Oh wow the bear n’ cub are still there! We saw them on the trail near shadow lake 2 weeks ago. I guess they are hanging around that area.

Yeah, it's my third time seeing these 2 bears this season. They stick to that area.
