Hiked this one last year with my dad, so this time I brought my brother and sister. Its still one of my favorites to do hands down. We got to the trailhead a little later than what we wanted and with that, we had to park a half a mile down the road from the trailhead. But no worries, it was fun none the less.
The trail is in excellent condition and we even came across some trail crews doing some maintenance. Thanks to them for doing a good job that day. The view were a sight to be seen on a crystal clear day. We hiked out to the end of the maintained trail and then decided to explore a little further. That's were we ran into a little snow which wasn't too hard to cross and will probably be melted away soon. We stopped for a rest as we entered a forest and I kept hearing a noise that sounded bear-like. Going with gut instinct, we decided to head back.
All in all, it was a wonderful hike on a beautiful day. A great way to send off Spring indeed!
