Chelatchie Prairie Rail Trail — Saturday, Jun. 8, 2019

Southwest Washington > Vancouver Area

I actually didn't hike this trail, I rode my bike. The trail is wide and paved, suitable for strollers, roller blades, bikes, etc. There are a few very very gradual rolling hills but for most intents and purposes the trail is flat. I had 4 young kids (age 6-12) with me (on bikes) and they had no trouble with the trail or hills.

Overall its nothing special but if you're in the area its a nice place for a short afternoon walk/bike/roller blade. Its a good alternative to the dirt trails inside the park if you have a stroller. There isn't really parking at the trail head or along the road so plan on parking at the state park and walking down (Discover pass required).

The trail itself would be perfectly fine for a wheelchair but the road down from the parking area in the state park to the trail head might be a bit too steep for comfort.
