Magnuson Park — Saturday, Jun. 1, 2019

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

As a new Seattleite I'm trying to hit up all of the big city parks. My dog and I went to Magnuson on this sunny Saturday afternoon for a walk and we had a great time.

The main trail is a relaxing walk, going East from the parking lots in the South all the way to Lake Washington, then turns North and you have the option to enter a fantastic off-leash area which lets you walk unencumbered by a leash with your dog for probably a mile or so, meeting plenty of other dogs and dog-owners along the way.  After you reach the end of the off-leash area, we went back to the parking lot in the South by crossing through the main park area where there's a nice meadow with some wildflowers and into the sports complex. Several groups were playing ultimate frisbee in the soccer fields, and there was a game going on in the baseball field as well.

Just a great place for a casual dog walk.
