This is a vary popular trail, and probably made even more popular since it was Memorial Weekend.
When we arrived around 2pm the parking lot was quite full, but there were still some spots available.
The trail is a pretty moderate hike. Most of the elevation gain is in the last half mile.
There are many snow fields to cross. We didn't have too much trouble, the paths up/down are packed by hikers before us, but the snow can still be very slippery.
We reached the top of the Snow Lake viewpoint at about 4pm. There is a large rock that overlooks the lake that many people were also stopping to rest on. But there was still plenty of room for 5 more people and 2 dogs to join and eat lunch.
The path down to the lake is completely covered in snow, and we did not have the right gear. So we made the viewpoint the turnaround point of the hike for us.
We made it back to our car at about 5:30. The parking lot was pretty much empty at this point, despite there being a few more hours of sunlight.
