Hiked from the north parking area off FS 73. A few big potholes on FS 73 with one right on the opposite side of the bridge driving in but all avoidable enough to not really be obstacles for any vehicle.
Just a few mild muddy spots with one being a steep step stair of roots and rocks about 2 or so miles in. We hiked up to Skookum Creek and only went up a little on the side trail to the base of the falls. It was quite steep in places and I did not have hiking poles for the way down so decided to stop and turn around before the falls.
