For anybody wanting to ski Helens: - Ski carry is currently 4 miles (!) before continuous skinning at ~4500 ft, and it’s melting quickly! - At ~4500 ft, the gully to looker’s right of the boulder field has continuous snow (for now). You can veer left and connect back with the bootpack/main trail at ~5700 ft For everybody: Don’t get too close to the edge of the summit looking into the caldera! There’s still a giant unsupported cornice there that can break any minute as temps heat up! There are sticks that mark the line where the cornice will break, but people have been removing the sticks, so be careful!
