Puget Sound and Islands > Whidbey Island

I just moved to the Seattle area from Missouri, and I’ve gotten the pleasure to visit and explore Whidbey Island this week. I visited Ebey State Park today, and it was interesting to me how much different the terrain and hike was from my hike in South Whidbey State Park yesterday. Unlike the jungle-type forrest hike where you are immersed in the woods, this trail is really open and you can see for miles. From farmland, prairie, to the coast, you get a pretty good breeze through the entirety of the hike. Unfortunately, didn’t see much sea life, but did see a tug boat and a barge. It was a really easy, relaxed walk. The views are spectacular! Finished the day in Coupeville at Toby’s Tavern for mussels and beer.
