On a beautiful, sunny Northwest winters day, I headed up to the mountain loop highway to get some fresh air. I didn't have much time because it was getting late in the day so I chose the Old Robe Canyon trail. Started hiking just after 2 and there was 3 or 4 other cars along the road and I came across them heading back to the car shortly after starting so I had the trail to myself. the trail is very pleasant and in very good shape. If it wasn't for a few downed trees near the river I would say anyone can do this trail, but some might have a hard time with them. I would recommend this trail for a quick outing with an easy trail.
