I wanted to write this trip report mostly to say that the snow is 99% gone. Just a tad up at the top (before going up the rocky area) which has been packed down into ice, but not enough to warrant the use of microspikes - just careful footing in a few places. I started my hike at 8:30 and it was about 42 degrees out. The temperature was perfect for the climb up... I had my 36L pack purposefully filled to the brim for conditioning, so the cool temps and light breeze were very welcome. Per usual, it was a very busy trail, but not until about 10:00. Only a couple people had speakers playing music. Maybe word is getting out about noise pollution (she says optimistically).
Wildlife: Very little on this very popular trail, but I did see a raven and had a chat with an adorable woodpecker.
