Started at the main parking lot and walked through the campground to the Wilbert Trail. The 500 year old Cedar is gorgeous and the trail through Fern Gully was top notch, duffy singletrack. There are a number of other big trees back there so keep your eyes open. I opted to take the Ridge Trail, which wasn’t great. It follows an old road grade. I’d recommend taking the lower trail as it looks to stay in the older forest at least a little longer. There’s a sign that the beach access is closed so choose a different park on Whidbey if that’s your goal.
