Beautiful day. Have attempted Annette Lake in winter - but with the Avalanche chutes and an old dog hiking buddy - turned around prematurely. Yesterday was gorgeous. The trail description is accurate. It is a steady uphill hike for the most part. The trail was muddy and the creeks were flowing strong. Definitely need waterproof boots. Would recommend poles- for the slippery frozen bridges and the hike down especially. There wasn’t a clear place to hang out at the lake - we didn’t have a lot of time to look bc we had to get back to the car bc we had previous engagements. But it is really beautiful. It was a lot of fun and really pretty. Almost completely in the woods - so colder than you would expect it to be even on a sunny day.
