Tonga Ridge / Mount Sawyer — Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

My friend and I did an in and out to Sawyer Pass.  She is recovering from an ankle injury and didn't feel up to the steep beginning of the Mt Sawyer spur.  Still had an awesome day with peekaboo views and a large mountain meadow that we had lunch in.  There are new signs on trees showing the way to Mt Sawyer and Fisher Lake, I will be back to finally knock the lake off my bucket list.

The fall colors are about done on the trail but there's still plenty on the drive along Highway 2.  The trail had a moderate amount of activity on this Sunday with more people seen on our way out in the afternoon.  It was a great day in the sun, sad to think places like this will be shut out by snow soon, get up high while you can.
