Today's WTA Work Party is a continuation of the work that was initiated just this year to build a formal trails system on Mica Peak as a commitment by the WTA to Spokane County.
The mile-long dirt road up from the parking lot through the unlocked gate, while dry at the present, is recommended for high-clearance vehicles only given the uneven surface and grade at parts.
Our work today primarily involved treading new trail, building a rock wall on a slope, and brush & tree work in anticipation of treading. We were working near 2 small former mica mines.
