Took a wander down Lunds Gulch and made it to the beach for the first time. The trail was clear but for a few scant mud patches, and while there were bugs near the water, none of them bit me. The beach and clear view of the Olympics were utterly gorgeous. Walking back up was a challenge as this was the first elevation I've done with the baby on my back, but it was absolutely doable with rest breaks on the perfectly timed benches. So if you're just starting out hiking elevation, or just getting back to it, this is a great training hike with a lovely view.
