This was the first time we've hiked Mima Falls, and we did the loop. It was a gorgeous Winter day. We encounter numerous people on the trail along with horses, dogs, and mountain bikes. The trail was muddy in spots, especially on the Mima Tie Trail portion where it was sloppy enough to need to have careful footing in places. Also, we noticed the distances listed on the topo map at the falls were wrong. The map lists the Mima Tie portion as being 1.0 mile, but it was more like 1.7 on our GPS. The Campground Trail portion was less than listed - more like a mile. Maybe they reversed them. We had the total as 6.75 miles for the loop. We'll definitely be back, maybe next time with our mountain bikes! :)
