Arrived at parking lot at 8:30 am. About a quarter full by then. It took us less than 2 hours to reach the lake at a leisurely pace. Rushing water across several parts of the trail. Not difficult to cross. Lake is just lightly covered with ice, many thawed parts. It rained the entire time. Encountered hordes of people with dogs coming up on our return. Parking lot was completely full when we got back.
Recommended for current conditions: waterproof clothing and shoes, and a good attitude! Happy trails!
