Trail down to the beach was closed for repairs, no views on this hike today so we crossed the highway to the loop trail where I was not disappointed, amazing old trees, GIANTS! What an awesome little hike. Solitude, I only saw one person walking her dog near the parking lot. After being wowed by all the awesome trees, I headed to Double bluff for a long hike on the beach where swimmers were breaking in the new year. Eagles everywhere, even saw 3 of them fighting briefly. Awesome day on Whidby.
