Beautiful day for a hike on a deservedly popular hike, We got there in time to snag a spot on the street outside the lot and immediately four cars filled in behind us. Met the usual motley crew of day hikers and a few resolution hikers. It’s steep in parts and wet and muddy and all the other stuff that makes it a work out but the pay off is a breathtaking vista with an awesome “close up” of Rainier. The trail was crowded, some people seemed unprepared, dogs were off leash, there is a bunch of artificial grass up top but let none of that stop you from going.
