I do this trail once a year. I take a few friends with me who are open to adventurous hikes. This hike doesn't even start until you see the signs that say danger do not go any further. If you are smart and not afraid of getting dirty you will love this hike.
This trail has everything. Abandoned railroad tunnels, washed out train tracks, decaying bridges, a cave, white water rapids, untouched growth, old mining equipment and a whole section of land just to yourself.
Be smart, be safe, and enjoy a part of history anyone rarely gets to see anymore.
Once you cross the bridge and hit the cave the trail ends. Do not keep climbing up the trail. It is unsafe and drops off to nothing at the top. Death is a real possibility if you keep going past that point. You have been warned.
