Right now the whole trail is snow covered aside from a very few areas further up. Prior knowledge of the trail or map recommended. Once I hit the first chute I threw on micro spikes and grabbed my ice axe. I started in the afternoon so the snow was soft. You traverse a few areas where you would defintely want to be able to self arrest if you slipped. I was excited to scramble the peak and ended up cutting up the snow before the notch where the proper trail ends. The standard route would go from there and left along the backside of the peak. Easy going if you're a climber or scramble often, more class 3 as you get towards the top. I cut up the snow before the notch and took a more class 4 route before I traversed and jumped around to the standard route. I was the only person up there and took my time on the summit enjoying the views. If you want more of a hike wait a while til the snow melts out.

When do you think it'll melt out?
