Alta Mountain — Sunday, Jun. 25, 2017

Alright this is trip report 3 (previous 2 are for Rachel Lake and Rampart Lakes if interested)

Once you reach the ridge from Rachel turn right, you will mostly be on snow until the base of the trail up Alta. A little route finding is necessary here. After heading up Alta there are a few snowfields but the ridge is mostly clear. There are definitely some no fall zones though. The trail gets more exposed and scrambly as you go up. If you are comfortable with that you won't have a problem. A few false summits. I used a pole on the way up, no traction though. Views were amazing and it was a great little climb.
