This trail was in excellent condition from the trailhead at the end of NF-26 (deep potholes, but otherwise fine for all vehicles), all the way to its intersection with the PCT about 6.5-7 miles in. There are several small creek crossings, including a couple with footbridges, and a couple without. There are naturally downed trees spanning a couple of these, but you're really risking hurting yourself if you attempt to cross this way; they are slippery. Realistically, you'll need to get your feet wet a couple of times on this trail (at least early in the season).
Otherwise, the trail passes through some lovely old growth, with regular views of the Suiattle below. No views of larger peaks. There are a few nice campsites on the way out, and when you get to the suspension bridge at Canyon Creek (about 6-6.5 miles in), there are campsites aplenty, on both sides of the creek. Another half mile or so and you arrive at, first, the PCT intersection, and second, the steel (beam) bridge spanning the Suiattle (as the PCT continues Southbound).
I camped out overnight near Canyon Creek and did hear a single small critter scratching around my tent & backpack in the middle of the night, but it was easy enough to shoo away. Lots of hikers/campers on their way in as I was leaving on Saturday.
