Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

As the last report said, the road is completely clear all the way to the trailhead, but almost immediately after the trail head the trail is covered with snow. We were able to make it all the way to Joan Lake but it was a bit of a challenge. A combination of boot tracks and red tree markers made it relatively easy to follow the trail although there were parts where we did lose the trail. The lake is just starting to melt and we could see some little trout swimming around. Can't wait to come back later in the summer when it's snow free!
