Made my first trip up to Mailbox Peak. It was a gorgeous hike in the snow! The trail was a bit muddy at the bottom but overall was in excellent condition. You definitely need some sort of spikes for the top. I only saw one person make it up without them. It gets really steep once you hit the snow. I can see why it is expert level.
