Cedar Falls Snowshoe — Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017

North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20

Snowshoed here with 2 people and a dog on the Sunday of MLK weekend. We had to start our hike at highway 20 rather than the trailhead, but the snow-covered forest road made for a beautiful extra bit of walking. The trail was well packed in, the grade was a gentle uphill, and the falls with water flowing behind a wall of ice were stunningly beautiful. We saw two other people also snowshoeing with a dog, but other than that we had the trail to ourselves. Highly recommended.
