The Western larches around Blewett Pass are showing peak fall colors right now, so we walked a few miles down Tronsen Ridge from Upper Naneum Meadow. The drive to the trailhead from the hwy provides great views of several stands of bright yellow larches and trail has good views of more larches on either side of Tronsen Ridge. According to the trailhead signage, motorbikes are prohibited from now until spring, so if you're hiking, you may get things to yourself. The trail has ruts in a few spots, but is in great shape for the most part. The gps listed here worked well for finding the trailhead (click on the "view larger map" link on your phone and follow Google's navigation) -- there's parking at the sharp bend in the main road and you'll reach the Tronsen Ridge trail after walking .5 miles on a fading road, passing a junction with the Lillian Mountain trail -- continue straight past both directions of that signed trail.
