This was a delightful hike.
The few sections of boardwalk were a bit slippery at the time I was there given it rained a few times last week. Exercising caution and traipsing across slowly were things sufficient at ensuring the day would end sans injury. The scree fields upon this hike's final leg (on your way up, of course) had in them some loose rocks and uneven surface so I suggest donning shoes with plenty of padding. The larches were gloriously golden and the pass offered plenty of space to roam around for hours.
Ps. There was water on the trail for a good memorable part of its first 2, or so, miles. FYI!

Weather
Were you up there later in the afternoon after the clouds lifted? Because I left the TH at 9am and Easy Pass was surrounded by some pretty thick low clouds. So I turned around short and went to Blue Lake instead

Mr. Blue Sky on Easy Pass
Yeah I got there a little past 1pm. I almost turned back around at Marblemount when I saw only clouds. Funny, my intended hike was Blue Lake but I didn't want to make the extra 10 mile drive.
