A lovely, gentle hike and a fascinating look into the history of the area. There are a lot of informational signs about the towns purpose and the tragic avalanche. I can see why it's recommended as a fall hike. The snow shed is eerie to walk through; reminders of the lives lost, the temperature drop, a mild echo, and dripping water all set a ghostly atmosphere.
