North Cascades > Mount Baker Area

This is a short, easy hike suitable for small children and is wheelchair accessible. The hike is .5 miles in length and includes informative, albeit somewhat outdated, signs along the path about the flora and fauna. The hike includes gorgeous views of old growth forest, including a Doug fir tree that is about 500 years old. The hike is easily accessible directly off of the Baker Lake highway. The trail surface includes a mixture of boardwalk, paved sidewalk, and gravel. We stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and there was only one other car in the parking lot.
