Trip Report
Snowgrass - Cispus Basin - Nannie Ridge Loop, Old Snowy Mountain - Elk Pass & Walupt Lake and Walupt Creek — Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016
South Cascades > Goat Rocks
We hiked from White Pass to Walupt Lake Campground over three days. We hit the trail Thursday evening with lots of mosquitoes. We ended up camping about 5 miles in. We woke up to mosquitoes the next day as well. It didn't get to cold at night maybe around 40 degrees. We encountered a lot of downed trees across the trail on our hike on Friday to Snowgrass flats. We crossed some snow fields and were thankful for our trekking poles, especially on Old Snowy. We saw a lot beautiful flowers. The road to Walupt Lake Campground was smooth with some washboard sections but not to bad.

Yes, there are a lot of campsites once you connect to the PCT. I don't recall the names of the locations. I do remember long stretches 3 or more miles of hiking with no campsites though. Download the guthook app and use that to find out where campsites are.
