This is definitely more of a "beach outing" than an actual hike. We were camping nearby, so we found some easy trails that our 2.5yo could do on his own and this was one of them. We visited in the afternoon since it took us an hour to get here from our campsite and we wanted our toddler and 8-mo baby to nap on the drive. The parking lot was full but with so many people coming and going a spot opened up fast right on the street in front of the beach. The Lighhouse is open from 12-4pm, and the docents kindly gave us a tour. It is beautiful - thanks to the historical society for preserving this landmark. We enjoyed the sunshine and enjoyed playing on the beach. The sand is lovely and felt good in the sunshine. Great wildlife! Saw some river otters, and lots of harbor porpoises, all close to shore. I'd recommend visiting.
