Hiked Young Hill after many, many years. If you are not in shape, like me, the elevation gain is a doosie! But it was gorgeous day and I packed my lunch to eat at the top and enjoy my time. The small English Cemetery you pass is worth the very quick detour and just for this history. It also provides a great view of want awaits you at the top.
You can either start the trail from the roadside, or enter the English Camp parking lot and hike up to the road. Which adds about another .25 mile I believe.
Even on a busy day like Memorial day I had large sections on the trail to myself and the top almost completely alone for 30 mins.
